ABOUT
EMERGING EUROPE
Emerging Europe is a social enterprise and a growth hub with a mission to support the social, economic and democratic development of 23 countries in Central, Eastern and South-East Europe and the Caucasus.
We see innovation, technology, sustainability and entrepreneurship as the main drivers of this growth.
Emerging Europe does not have donors nor is it affiliated to any governmental institutions. We were founded in London in 2014, and are independent and privately owned.
All our programmes, activities and publications are inclusive, free of charge and open to a global community — because our mission of supporting the region involves reaching as many people as we can. These activities are funded by contributions from like-minded partners, clients and individuals.
We run Tech Emerging Europe Advocates, a tech community whose mission is to elevate the profile of the region as a global tech hub — and part of the 25,000-member Global Tech Advocates network.

GLOBAL TECH ADVOCATES
AND
TECH EMERGING EUROPE ADVOCATES
The 25,000-member Global Tech Advocates network was created by Russ Shaw, an American angel investor based in London and a co-founder of London Tech Week.
The first and largest hub, Tech London Advocates (TLA), launched in 2013 to increase the UK’s prominence in tech: in Europe and beyond.
The rapidly-expanding network now counts over 20 groups across the world, including Tech Emerging Europe Advocates — which spans 25 countries with a combined population of over 200 million people and is GTA's largest in geographical terms.
Run by Emerging Europe and fully focused on collaboration, Tech Emerging Europe Advocates unites the entire region and connects its tech ecosystem with a global network and audience.
Our mission is to be the main driving and uniting force behind the region’s tech ecosystem and we see emerging Europe as the world’s leading and most sustainable technology hub.
